Ski or Ride Whiteface Mountain with the Spring Unlimited Season Pass

Unlimited spring skiing and riding at Whiteface begins March 1 and continues throughout the 2009-10 winter season. Adult (ages 20-64) passes are available for $250, while seniors (ages 65-69), students and teens (ages 13-19) can purchase their spring pass for $200.  The junior (ages 7-12) Spring Unlimited Season Pass is on sale for just $150 and as always kids six and under ski or ride Whiteface for free.  It’s a great deal if you plan to ski or ride the greatest vertical drop in the east three or more times this spring. Medieval Costume Demonstration at The Cloisters,

The program will take place twice on Sunday, February 28, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. and again at 3:00 p.m., and will focus on 15 different costumes. Read more »

Albany, N.Y. - The 6th annual Great Hudson Valley Pedal-a six-day, 200-mile recreational bicycle tour from Albany to New York City-is scheduled for August 10-15, 2010. 

Great Hudson Valley Pedal participants will pedal their way through one of the most picturesque river valleys in the world.  The Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site, Olana State Historic Site, and West Point are just a few of the many interesting stops along the way.  Rich in history, culture, wineries, and gourmet cuisine, the Hudson Valley offers fantastic bicycling.  The tour, which includes three panoramic bridge crossings, will ride along designated bike routes, scenic roads, and off-road trails, including the renowned Manhattan Waterfront Greenway along the west side of Manhattan.
