Rochester, N.Y. - George Eastman House presents a virtual springtime, with the 15th annual exhibition The Dutch Connection: George Eastman’s Conservatory in Winter Bloom, on view Friday, Feb. 12 through Sunday, Feb. 28. This colorful, interpretive exhibition will feature thousands of flowering bulbs, re-creating Eastman’s 1910 display of flowers from Holland - ordered from the same Dutch company Eastman used.

The two-week display is a welcome treat for the eyes and nose in the midst of winter. Read more »

Garnerville, N.Y. - GAGA Arts Center will be presenting the procative and enchanting exhibition FICTIONS Salon des Refuses 2K10 (French for “Salon of the Refused’), March 5-28.  Visitors will discover an exciting and eclectic collection of experimental and innovative artworks. While some of these artists have been overlooked by the curators of some recent large group exhibitions, one finds that the work in this show captures the adventurous spirit of risk-taking, international artists who are moving art forward out of sheer survival.  The variety of experimental art, materials, and styles in FICTIONS is organized to open dialogue, posit new ideas and expand cultural horizons. Boating Family Inspires State’s First Safety Training for Deaf Youth

Adam (right) and Jacob Cooper will begin earning their Young Boater Safety Certificates at the February 10-14, 2010 Central New York Boat Show. The training is being offered for hearing and, for the first time at the show, for deaf youth.Course Begins at CNY Boat Show Feb. 10-14

Syracuse, N.Y. - Kevin Cooper and his 10-year-old sons Adam and Jacob have boated as a family since the boys were born. The twin brothers are now ready to be certified safe boaters and thanks to a partnership of New York Sea Grant, the CNY Boating Industries Association and AURORA of CNY, both boys can begin earning their certificates at the Central New York Boat Show February 10-14, 2010.
