More than 2700 miles and 200-plus inches of snow await snowmobilers in the Great Lakes Seaway Trail region of New York and Pennsylvania, according to the recently updated “Great Lakes Seaway Trail Snow-Cruising is Fresh!” Fact Sheet.

“This Great Lakes Seaway Trail resource list has been expanded to help snowmobilers in search of great riding, trails, maps, clubs, trail condition hotlines, lodging, food and state snowmobiling regulations,” says Seaway Trail, Inc. I LOVE NY Is Most Followed State Tourism Site On Twitter

New York, NY - After just two weeks since its official launch, New York State (www.iloveny.com) has reached its goal of becoming the most followed state tourism page on Twitter with nearly 9,000 followers. After an initial launch that attracted 500 followers, the Empire State received a major spike after pairing with a famous New York native, actor Peter Facinelli, who tweeted about New York to his 1 million plus followers in between shooting for Showtime’s hit series Nurse Jackie, and filming for the next installment of the blockbuster Twilight Saga: New Moon.

The I Love New York Matching Funds Program is offered to attractions and tourism related businesses who wish to promote tourist activities in our county. Great Lakes Seaway Trail Maritime Heritage Poster Goes to School

Are there really one thousand 1,000 Islands? Which Oswego County waterbody is also named Heh-Hah-Wa-Gah? What were the top commodities shipping into Little Sodus Bay in 1891? What role did Lake Erie play in the early maritime history of New York and Pennsylvania?

The new fact-filled, 17 inch x 44 inch, color, illustrated Great Lakes Seaway Trail Maritime Heritage poster has the answers. Ten thousand (10,000) of the posters are now in public schools and BOCES systems in the 11 counties along the St. Lawrence River, Lake Ontario, Niagara River and Lake Erie in NY and PA. The poster meets educational standards for grades 4-7. Read more »
