No red lights and backed up traffic!Dutch Apple Cruises and Albany Trolleys are hosting a special day where Capital Region residents can commute to and from work in Albany or Troy (in either direction) on board the Dutch Apple.

In honor of the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial, this event will recreate the 19th and early 20th Century experience of commuting between these two cities by Hudson River passenger boat. Read more »

Cyclists along the Erie Canalway in Medina, by Debbie SternWATERFORD - President Obama today signed the Omnibus Public Lands Management Act of 2009 which includes language to extend the authorization of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor for five years. The measure makes valuable federal resources available for communities from Albany to Buffalo. The Corridor extends 524 miles across the full expanse of upstate New York, and encompasses 234 cities, towns, and villages that border the New York State Canal System. Read more »
