Albany, NY – The 2009 foliage season in New York State is officially underway as the first significant colors of autumn are appearing in the Adirondacks and Catskills regions, according to observers for the Empire State Development Division of Tourism’s I LOVE NEW YORK program. Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony at Medina/Wildwood Lake KOA

cony2.jpgMedina, NY – The former Wildwood Lake Family Campground in Medina will host a ribbon cutting ceremony Saturday, Sept. 12 at 12:30 p.m. to celebrate its becoming the newest jewel in the Kampgrounds of America system.

The campground, now named the Medina/Wildwood Lake KOA, is taking afforable family camping to a new level in Orleans County by joining the Kampgrounds of America (KOA) system of more than 450 parks in North America, the world’s largest system of family camping parks. Gore Mountain to Open Saturday for Scenic Gondola Skyrides & Mountain Biking as Work Progresses on Several Major Improvements

The leadership team at the Landis Arboretum is taking a chance that it does: plans are under way to combine the Arboretum’s increasingly successful “perennial” 5K cross-country classic, its long-standing signature Fall Plant Sale fundraiser, and a VIP Bird Walk on Saturday, September 19.
