ROCHESTER, N.Y. — George Eastman House International Museum of Photography & Film presents a series of three photography exhibitions titled “TRAINS!” Oct. 11 to Jan. 25, 2009. Headlining the exhibitions, which spans three centuries of train photography, will be the best work of master O. Mid-point colors expected to arrive in parts of Catskills

This is the third 2008 FALL COLOR REPORT for New York State. Reports are obtained from field observers and reflect expected color conditions for the coming weekend. FALL COLOR REPORTS are issued every Wednesday.

Fall’s magnificent kaleidoscope of color continues to gradually make its way across New York State, with some higher elevations of the Adirondacks expected to be near peak by the weekend, according to observers for the Empire State Development Division of Tourism’s I LOVE NEW YORK program. Join in on the fungus Saturday, October 11, at 10 a.m., as the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum explains all about mushrooms, lichens, toadstools and fairy rings. This time of year is the perfect time to find beautiful examples of colorful fructifications of the fascinating mushroom group. Come to the Museum’s, Outdoor Discovery Center location, 20 Kenridge Farm Drive, Route 9W, Cornwall, to identify some common fungus among us with Education Coordinator, Judy Onufer.
