Oswego - Lake Ontario’s top professional and amateur anglers will be vying for thousands of dollars in cash and merchandise prizes the weekend of July 11 and 12, when Oswego County’s 15th annual Pro-Am Salmon and Trout Team Tournament takes place out of the ports of Oswego, Mexico, and Port Ontario. The tournament is the third in a four-county series on Lake Ontario.The Oswego County event kicks off with an optional contest, the Fat Nancy’s/A-Tom-Mik Shootout on Friday, July 10. This summer, Apollo Theater Foundation expected to break ground on a “Walk of Fame” honoring legendary entertainers in celebration of theater’s 75th Anniversary
New York, NY - Harlem Community Development Corporation (Harlem CDC) announced today that it will provide the Apollo Theater Foundation (ATF) with a $75,000 grant to go towards the partial financing of the design, planning and other costs associated with mounting the Apollo Theater “Walk of Fame” project this summer. The “Walk of Fame” is part of the Apollo 75th Anniversary Season series of special programming and events running from June 2009 through December 2010.
