Pathway Tours Help Albany Celebrate the Quad

Park Playhouse Announces New ‘Stimulus Package’ With Discounted Prices on Star Seats

From now through the final curtain on Aug. 23, Park Playhouse has reserved “Star Seats” at reduced prices for all performances of its production of Disney’s High School Musical. Performances take place Tuesday through Sunday at 8 p.m. by the park’s Lake House. Read more »

Creating the Colossus

sculptor-james-tyler.jpgGarnerville, NY - Sculptor James Tyler has begun work on his huge sculpture, the Groundwater Colossus, in his studio at the GAGA Arts Center in Garnerville. The sculpture will be one of the largest free standing ceramic sculptures ever made, formed with over ten tons of clay.

The artwork is an enormous human visage, emerging from the earth. A personification of the vast freshwater aquifers that lay hidden beneath the surface of the ground. Viewers of the sculpture will be face to face with the issue of this vitally important natural resource. Read more »

Paterson recently announced the launch of 511 New York, a free and comprehensive system geared to meet the needs of commuters, long-distance and local travelers, tourists and commercial-vehicle operators. The service covers State highways and public transportation services and provides information about traffic incidents, roadway conditions, congestion, work zones, weather and planned events.
