New York, NY - After just two weeks since its official launch, New York State (www.iloveny.com) has reached its goal of becoming the most followed state tourism page on Twitter with nearly 9,000 followers. After an initial launch that attracted 500 followers, the Empire State received a major spike after pairing with a famous New York native, actor Peter Facinelli, who tweeted about New York to his 1 million plus followers in between shooting for Showtime’s hit series Nurse Jackie, and filming for the next installment of the blockbuster Twilight Saga: New Moon.

Nature Strollers: A Hiking Group for Families with Young Children
Cornwall, NY - On Tuesday, November 10 at 10 a.m. come for Nature Strollers, a hiking group for families with babies, toddlers and young children. Take a one-hour hike at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum’s Outdoor Discovery Center entrance on Muser Drive, across from 174 Angola Road, Cornwall. The popular Nature Stroller group will follow the gentle trails of the Outdoor Discovery Center and explore the field, pond and forest. Corning, NY - The innovations and artistry of Louis Comfort Tiffany will be explored in an exhibition of his blown glass works opening at The Corning Museum of Glass on November 1, 2009, and running through October 31, 2010. Tiffany Treasures: Favrile Glass from Special Collections will showcase nearly 60 hand-wrought pieces designed by Tiffany during one of his most fertile periods of artistic ingenuity, and made at his glasshouse in Corona, NY, between 1895 and 1920.
