Free 2009 - 2010 Cattaraugus County Snowmobile Brochure and Map Now Available

cattaraugus-co-snowmobile-map.jpgLittle Valley, N.Y. - Debra Opferbeck, Tourism Specialist for the Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism announced that the FREE  2009 - 2010 Snowmobile brochure and map is now available.  On one side of the brochure is a 24″ by 18 ½” map of the trails with labels for trail numbers, junction numbers and a business legend for the gas, food or lodging. The brochure contains the name, address, phone number, longitudes and latitudes of the snowmobile related businesses through-out the County. The businesses are listed under the categories of: Eateries with Trail Access, Lodging with Easy Trail Access, Parking for Snowmobiles and/or trucks with trailers, Snowmobile Sales, Parts & Service, Gas Stations on the Snowmobile Trails and the Hidden Treasures of the Enchanted Mountains. Hunter Mountain to provide base for North America’s longest & highest Ziplines & Canopy Tour

Hunter, N.Y. - Hunter Mountain has teamed up with New York Zipline Adventure Tours (NYZAT) to provide the longest and highest ziplines and canopy tour in North America. Construction of the ziplines, towers and canopy tour will begin immediately; a groundbreaking ceremony will be held on January 9, 2010 to correspond with the culmination of Hunter’s 50th Anniversary. Gore Mountain Region Offers New Transportation Opportunities!

North Creek, N.Y. - Two new bus services will increase accessibility to and around the Gore Mountain Region this winter season! 

Gore Mountain has partnered with Adirondack Trailways to offer packages that combine lift tickets with round-trip transportation from both New York City and Ridgewood, NJ to North Creek.  “For the first time, skiers and riders in New York City can purchase Gore Mountain lift tickets along with convenient bus service to North Creek.  Two-day lift tickets packaged with transportation is priced under $200,” commented Emily Stanton, Gore Mountain Marketing Manager. Luzerne Music Center Presents Elizabeth Pitcairn in Concert with “Red Violin” & Friends at Merkin Concert Hall

Elizabeth PitcairnLake Luzerne, N.Y. - Luzerne Music Center will present “Violinist Elizabeth Pitcairn and Friends” at Merkin Concert Hall, Kaufman Center, on Saturday, January 16th, 2010, at 7 p.m.  

Elizabeth Pitcairn, protégé of Robert Lipsett, will perform in partnership with her Red Mendelssohn Stradivarius violin and colleagues Toby Blumenthal, pianist, President and CEO of Luzerne Music Center, cellist Jacob Braun, and Cynthia Elise Tobey, piano.  The event will begin with a silent auction and champagne at 7 p.m. followed by the concert at 8 p.m. and will conclude with a reception.  The Concert will also feature student and alumni performances.
