March 18 First Annual Cultural Heritage Symposium is Huge Success

Hamilton, N.Y. - All 94 seats in the Meyerson Auditorium at Colgate University were filled to capacity Friday, March 18 with cultural heritage tourism professionals taking part in the daylong Symposium sponsored by the New York Cultural Heritage Tourism Network and hosted by the Upstate Institute @ Colgate University.

The theme of the event, “Bridges to the Future:  Empowerment through Collaboration in Cultural Heritage Tourism,” brought cultural heritage representation from nineteen counties throughout New York. There were three breakout sessions and each attendee had the opportunity to participate in two of them. Read more »

New Site on Hudson River Greenway Water Trail

Solomon Canoe/Kayak Launch at Hudson Crossing Park located at Lock C-5 of the Champlain Canal in the Town of Saratoga as part of the Hudson River Greenway Water Trail by the Board of Directors at a recent meeting. In celebration of Poetry Reading Day, Thursday, April 28th, MasterCard’s employee band The Transactions is organizing a community fundraiser concert at Manhattanville College in honor of Manhattanville’s award winning literary journal, Inkwell.  This year, Inkwell celebrates its 15th Anniversary. The Dorsky Opens Two new Exhibitions on April 8

The museum’s curator, Brian Wallace, organized both exhibitions.

Participants of I LOVE NEW YORK/Kay Tours fam tourWarren County, N.Y. - The Warren County Tourism Department hosted an I LOVE NEW YORK/ Kay New Century Tours Partnership Familiarization tour March 24-25. Area attractions, lodging and dining opportunities throughout the area were featured. The familiarization tour brought twelve inbound international tour operators and travel agents to Long Island, the Hudson Valley, the Catskills, Albany/Saratoga Region, Washington County and Warren County Areas for nine days in March.
