Fort Ontario to Close for the Season

Fort Ontario in the late 19th centuryOswego, N.Y. - On October 15 - 16, the last weekend of Fort Ontario’s operating season, the Friends of Ontario will hold a year end sale of fort t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, toy muskets, historic puzzles, toy soldiers, and many other souvenirs and memorabilia.  This would be an ideal time to visit the fort and do some early holiday shopping while supporting Oswego’s great national landmark.   Regular admission prices will be charged for those wishing to tour the fort, children 12 years of age and under are admitted free. Tractor Fest Returns To The Farmers’ Museum October 8 & 9

A young tractor enthusiast takes part in the “Kiddie Pedal-Tractor Pull” at last year’s Tractor Fest at The Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown, NY. Cooperstown, N.Y. - The Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown will present its second annual Tractor Fest on Saturday and Sunday, October 8 and 9, from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  Tractor Fest offers visitors an opportunity to see classic tractors representing the growth of farming technology from the 1920s until today.  The Museum provides an ideal setting where visitors can learn about the world of tractors and how they powered America’s farms.
 
Discover classic tractors from Ford, Case, Oliver, and John Deere, as well as modern tractors across the Museum grounds.  New tractor demonstrations will take place throughout both days.  Read more »

Celebrate Adirondack Forests at The Wild Center

Canal New York Participates in World Travel Market in London, England

Staged annually in London, World Travel Market is the leading global event for the travel industry.  WTM is a four-day business-to-business event gathering travel professionals from around the world.

Canal New York will participate with New York TAB’s DISCOVER MORE NEW YORK (Stand NA340) at London’s Excel Convention Center.  Appointments with travel trade professionals will be scheduled by the United States Embassy in London and coordinated with I Love New York through Circle Solutions.
