Redesigned I SKI NY Plates are Here!

i-ski-ny-plate.JPG Tully, N.Y. - For nearly 20 years Ski Areas of New York has offered skiers and riders the opportunity to display their pride for the sport they love through specially designed license plates. This year, Ski Areas has a new design with a new attitude! The new plate is available for passenger and commercial class vehicles.  It’s also the first plate to be produced with the DMV’s new 6 color printer.

You can order the plate through ISKINY by filling out the MV-413 form and sending it to ISKINY, PO Box 277 Tully NY 13159.  The process does take 6-8 weeks. (Application form - MV413.pdf - click here to download). Read more »

“Join in on the Spirit of Holiday Traditions” in Auburn, History’s Hometown

Cayuga County N.Y. - Holiday Traditions is an event that was created by the Seward House over 30 years ago as a token of appreciation to the Auburn community. Since that time, other local cultural attractions and sites have opened their doors for free the second Sunday in December for residents to enjoy during the holidays. Now, the “open house” is a tradition, and again this year, participation has expanded to include churches and other non-profit organizations. Read more »

Celebrate the Season with Wine on the Niagara Wine Trail!

nwt-holiday-happening.JPGNiagara County, N.Y. - For two weekends in December, the members of the Niagara Wine Trail will celebrate the Holiday Season with their annual Holiday Happening event, December 2-4 and December 9-11.

Each winery will be giving away a collectable gift in addition to 3 tastes of wine. This year’s gift is an ornament decorated with the theme of the legends of the holiday season. Each ticket includes a wine glass from the starting winery, 3 tastes of wine at each of the 14 participating wineries and a collectable ornament at each winery (while supplies last, one ornament per couple). Experience the Magic of Candlelight Evening at The Farmers’ Museum, Saturday, Dec. 10

During Candlelight Evening, the landscape of the museum takes on a magical appearance, decorated in greenery and illuminated by hundreds of candles. Visitors can ride through the museum’s grounds in wagons pulled by draft horses adorned with full sets of harness bells. Corning Museum of Glass Offers Free Holiday Open House

Greek Peak Mountain Resort & USDA Announce Completion Of New Conference Center

greek-peak-logo.jpgCortland, N.Y.  - Greek Peak Mountain Resort has announced the completion of their new conference facilities which add  5,676 square feet to the existing conference space at the resort. The additional meeting rooms, Acropolis (4,500 square feet) and Leonidas (1,176 square feet) are located in the newly expanded and renovated Katalima Lodge at the base of the mountain.

The expansion was made possible through collaboration with the USDA, which also included funding for the development of the recently opened Adventure Center. Read more »
