Cornwall, N.Y. - On Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum is celebrating Earth Day with a host of activities at the Museum’s Outdoor Discovery Center, on Muser Drive, across from 174 Angola Road, Cornwall. Everyone will have fun in the “Green Zone” where Museum staff will lead family activities. Children who get their free Planet Protector Passport stamped at each booth will win a prize. Children will also enjoy nature play, games, storytelling, meeting live animals, and music by Lydia Adams Davis.
A Flea Market will entice all shoppers in the family. (Purchase a 10×12 spot for $25.) Most activities are free with the suggested donation of $5 per car for parking. Refreshments will be available for purchase. All funds raised will support environmental education. Hike-A-Thon 2012 will kick off the Earth Day Celebration earlier in the day! Rain date is Sunday, April 29.
