New York State offers some of the nation’s best fresh-water fishing. And fly fishing for trout is at the top of the list. New York’s trout season begins April 1, so get ready close up shop, hang the “Gone Fishing” sign on the door and head Upstate and wet your line in the streams, rivers and lakes of The Empire State.
