New York, NY - It’s your last chance to see The Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibition, The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion, a dynamic exhibition of 80 high-fashion and haute couture ensembles, fashion photographs, and film clips that explore the reciprocal relationship between high fashion and evolving ideals of beauty as represented by iconic fashion models in the latter half of the 20th century. The exhibition is organized by the Met’s Costume Institute.

Dovima, Twiggy, Veruschka, Christy, Naomi, Linda, and Kate - the ubiquitous beauties who became muses to their generation - enliven fashion and this exhibition, which has drawn crowds since its May 4 debut. The ladylike sophistication of the 1950s, the 1960s

Youthquake, the feminist 70s, the supermodel-obsessed 1980s, and the grunge repudiation of the 90s are represented in galleries alive

with the sights, sounds, and fashion magazines of each era.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is located at Fifth Avenue at 82nd Street.
