Museum Announces “New” After School Program Nature’s Palette: Art Explorations for Grades 2-4

Starting Thursday, September 25, from 3:45pm – 5pm, the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum begins Nature’s Palette: Art Exploration, a 6-week after school program designed for grades 2-4 at the Museum’s Outdoor Discovery Center, 20 Kenridge Farm Drive, Route 9W, Cornwall.

This program will introduce children to nature through explorations in art as they create a beautiful hand-bound book of art work to take home. Each week they will explore the habitats of the Museum’s forests and fields and learn about the remarkable creatures that inhabit our region. They will use their creativity to learn how to interpret the natural world in several art mediums, such as watercolor, collage and stamp printing.

 Art Sessions will take place on: September 25 October 2, (no class Oct. 9), 16, 23, and 30. Nov. 6 Cost is $85. Members: $70.
