Stone Barns Center’s 9th Annual Harvest Fest, Saturday, Oct. 6

Live music featuring Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could will be part of this year’s Harvest FestPocantico Hills, N.Y. - Harvest Fest at Stone Bars Center, taking place Saturday, Oct. 6, is a community celebration of the farm at its most fruitful! Festivities for the whole family will include live music, a farmers market, hayrides and workshops from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, just 45 minutes north of Manhattan.

Highlights of Harvest Fest 2012:

  • Live music featuring Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could
  • Workshops on food and farming led by farmers, chefs and special guests
  • Farmers Market featuring local purveyors and delicious seasonal fare
  • Theatrical performances by Story Pirates
  • Hayrides
  • Farm Demonstrations in the fields and pastures
  • An opportunity to show off your farmer skills at the Farm Olympics
  • Raffle featuring prizes including dinner for two at Blue Hill at Stone Barns and gifts

A wide selection of seasonal food and beverages, including Stone Barns Center’s famous

Berkshire pig roast, will be available for cash purchase all day at the Farmers Market. Market

vendors will include Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Balthazar Bakery, Bark Hot Dogs, bobbysue’s

nuts, Brooklyn Soda Works, Captain Lawrence Brewing, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Defiant

Brewing Company, Equal Exchange, Green and Tonic, Kelso of Brooklyn, Ladle of Love,

Luke’s Lobster, Mast Brothers Chocolate, Mile End Deli, Morris Grilled Cheese Truck, Red

Barn Bakery, Rick’s Picks, Saxelby Cheesemongers, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, Whole Foods

Market and Organic Valley.

Tickets: Adults: $40 ($36 Stone Barns Center members)

Youth age 2-14: $20 ($18 members)

Youth under 2: FREE

Raffle ticket: $10

Stone Barns Center members can purchase tickets beginning August 17, 2012. Tickets go

on sale to the general public Friday, August 31, 2012 at 9AM. To purchase tickets,

visit www.stonebarnscenter.org. Stone Barns members receive a 10% discount on

tickets. The event will be held rain or shine.
