The King Meets The Queen Of American Lakes
It’s estimated that there are 30,000 or more Elvis Tribute Artists worldwide keeping Elvis Presley’s legacy alive. Some 60 of them will be in Lake George on the shores of The Queen of American Lakes May 29-June for the 2008 Lake George Elvis Festival. The festival will feature two shows, “Aloha from Lake George,” which will recreate the King’s famous “Aloha from Hawaii” concert, and “40 Year Comeback,” which will recognize the 40th anniversary of Elvis’ 1968 Comeback Special. Shawn Klush, crowned “Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist for 2007” will headline “Aloha from Lake George.” Also on the program is a weekend-long tribute competition in which Elvis tribute artists compete in three categories: professionals, non-professionals and youth.
